Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Sandy Clawson has lived in Oregon for over 20 years and has strong roots in the PNW.  Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Clawson spent several years working as a journalist and ultimately realized that she didn’t just want to write about medicine – she wanted to practice it. Jumping into a post-baccalaureate program at OSU Cascades, she went on to graduate from OSU Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2021. Dr. Clawson has a special interest in internal medicine, pain management, acupuncture, physical therapy and geriatrics.  

Dr. Clawson loves adventuring outside with her husband Tom and two boys Aden and Elliot, hitting the trails with her Lab-mix pup Clarke and reading books with her sidekick cats Earl and JP.
